EXHIBITION ACTIVITY

2007

I am happy to participate in the 'Dog is Love: 2' show, June 9, through July 11, 2007 at Cactus Gallery and Gifts in northeast Los Angeles. Four paintings of my dogs plus a selection of original Helen's Studio greeting cards are among numerous dog-themed artworks in this fun exhibition. Cactus Gallery also features art and unique gifts by Argentinian artists.

A selection of my paintings, including oils and mixed media pieces, are featured in the online gallery, Cornfield Gallery. This gallery, based in the United Kingdom, started out specializing in wildlife art but is expanding into other areas and all media. Sincere thanks to Lisa Dominguez and Ken Devonald for giving me this opportunity to increase my exposure in the art world! Please visit Cornfield Gallery and take a look at some beautiful artwork.

I enter numerous juried art competitions each year. Check this NEWS page for updates and any good news.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION ABOUT MY ARTWORK

Materials: ‘Crayon’ refers to water-soluble crayon; ‘colored pencil’ refers to water-soluble colored pencil, though I also sometimes use ‘Prismacolor’ (not water-soluble) pencils.

Framing: Quite a few of my paintings (especially the small paintings) are not framed. Refer to PRICES page for a list of framed artwork. Framed paintings, for the most part, feature acid-free mats and backing, and UV glass or plexiglass.

Protection of art: Original watercolors may fade when exposed to prolonged bright light. Protect paintings by using UV glass or plexiglass and keeping it away from direct sunlight and florescent light.

Website images: Photo images on this website may differ in color from the actual paintings, due to differences in monitors and operating systems. Please contact Helen with any questions about color accuracy.
